Can a task be completed outside a meeting?

Some task can be done outside of a meeting and can simply be marked as completed.

Use Case: User "Student 1" is assigned the ToDo "Research methods for placing a ball into a cube".

Use Case: User "Student 2" is assigned the ToDo "Make how-to video around programming a line sensor".

Use Case: User "Student 3" is assigned the ToDo "Mail thank you notes to donors".

We run into this all the time as well, where a student does CAD design outside of meeting time, and it needs to be documented. I have had them add meetings with themselves as the only participant, add the entry to the next meeting, and add it to the previous meeting. The most accurate of those is truly adding a new meeting...but I'm not sold on any one solution at this point.
